CAPPA-certified doula since 2014, licensed clinical social worker, and perinatal mental health specialist.

Philadelphia and suburban Philadelphia, PA

About me

Seena's passion for supporting, educating, and empowering individuals and couples defines her life's work. She knew at her first doula experience in 2013 that this powerful work was in her destiny, and still sees every birth as unique and miraculous.

She certified with CAPPA International in 2014, maintains her license as a Clinical Social Worker, practices psychotherapy with individuals and couples, and has extensive mindfulness training. A love for learning and teaching has taken her through the Evidence Based Birth Academy, Lamaze International, Spinning Babies, Hypnobirthing, the Council for Relationships, and continuing perinatal mental health education.

Her special interests include positive psychology, prenatal and postpartum mental health, parenting and the new or growing family, keeping relationships healthy, attachment parenting, and movement for prenatal and postpartum health.

Seena is warm and grounded, sensible and optimistic, approaching every pregnant individual and couple with respect and a nurturing heart. She guides people to find their voice, feel empowered, and develop their trust and confidence for what lies ahead.

She attends all of the Philadelphia and suburban Philadelphia hospitals. Her experience includes unmedicated and medicated births, C-sections, VBACs, mothers and couples with anxiety or depression, those in recovery, and many repeat clients. Her approach as a birth educator and doula is practical, sensitive, evidence-based, and meets you where you are. Her approach as a psychotherapist is eclectic, full of empathy and sensibility. Her vision is to co-create an experience that is safe, healthy, inclusive, and whole.
