About me

Becky is a friendly, kind, compassionate, and experienced birth doula, trained through DONA International. She has specialized training in breastfeeding support, infant and toddler nutrition, and maternal mental health. She is also a certified reiki practitioner with a great sense of humor.

A mom of two (both born at home), Becky made a career pivot after the birth of her second son to pursue doula work. While her home births were the kind of magical empowering experiences you assume only happen in the movies, the postpartum periods were not. Each challenge she encountered was made easier with an abundance of support from experienced mothers and friends. But it was the love and assistance from her larger community — both surprising and overwhelmingly generous — that inspired her decision to become a doula.

By feeling heard, supported, and empowered by her own caregivers and community from birth and beyond, Becky made it her personal mission to provide a similar experience for each birthing person she knows. Becky doesn't just believe that labor, birth, and raising children takes a village — she lives it.

A bit of a jack-of-all-trades, Becky has over 20 years of experience working in public service and non-profit. She is a trained vocalist, a former collegiate rower, a modest artist, an enthusiastic school chaperone, and has served as an advisor and advocate for special-needs families in the Philadelphia region.
