Jessica Straight

Jessica's life and work experience have been defined by caring for, educating, and loving children. She became an aunt in her early 20s and dedicated herself to supporting her siblings as parents and building strong relationships with her many nieces and nephews (27 of them).

She worked as an educator for children with special needs for 12 years in Baltimore, Boston, and Philadelphia. As a nanny for six years, she cared for newborn children and provided important experiences with learning in nature, through arts and crafts, and music and movement.

Jessica is the mother of three daughters (14, 12, and 10). She is a person who has a deep connection with children and understands how to enter their world with respect and consideration. She has a calming and playful presence that children are drawn to, and puts parents at ease.

Jessica completed a degree in exercise science in 1998 and has post-graduate credits in education. She completed postpartum doula training and has provided postpartum doula services in the Philadelphia area since 2019.
